Thai Spicy Seafood Dip with Steamed Mussels
In Thailand, we love having the seafood with a spicy seafood dip. And there are so many versions of seafood dip out there. This is one of the famous one that we usually get it at a restaurant.
Ingredients for the dip:
~ 2 tbsp lime juice
~ 1 and 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
~ 2 tsp sugar / cooking syrup / palm sugar
~ 3-4 fresh chili (depends on your spice level)
~ 2-3 garlic cloves
~ a handful of coriander
~ 2-3 piece of peanut brittles (optional)
How to:
Option 1
✔️ First, crush chili, garlic, coriander and peanuts brittles in a mortar. Then add all the liquid ingredients and mix it well.
Option 2
✔️ Add all the ingredients into a blender and blend them together.
How to prepare steamed mussels Thai style:
✔️ Add 1/4 part of water to the pot and add lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves to the water. Then add mussels to the pot.
✔️ Bring water to boil for 5 mins and turn the heat off.
